英文單字(21)《duct 引導》

作為之前學過「duce」的名詞。除了有些單字意思不同外，也有一些是當作動詞使用，要特別注意。

product 產品(n.)

productive 多產的、成效的(adj.)

產品就是要用來使用，作為形容詞時表示生產力強、有作用。
Training makes works highly productive.
We had a very productive meeting. I felt we solved lots of problems.

conduct 實施、引導、指揮(v.)、舉止(n.v.)

和「conduce」的「有助於、導致」意思不同，有許多意思，考試經常會出現。帶領大家可作為引導、指揮的意思；一起引導事情完成就是實施；實施當作名詞可以當作這個事物的舉止。

How you choose to conduct your private life is your own business!
May I conduct you to your table, sir?
The orchestra was conducted by Mira.
How should I conduct myself at these dinners? I have no idea.

conduction 傳導(n.)

「conduct」在接上其他字尾後，多有導電、傳導的意思。

conductive 傳導的(adj.)

Aluminum is a conductive metal.

conductivity 傳導性(n.)

conductible 可傳導的(adj.)

conductor 指揮家(n.)

semiconductor 半導體(n.)

「semi」的字首有一半的意思。

semiconducting 半導體的(adj.)

deduct 扣除(v.)

和「deduce」的「推論」意思不同，往下帶就是扣除的動作，反而和「reduce」意思相近。

The player had points deducted for arguing with the referee.

deduction 扣除、推論(n.)

除了原本「扣除」的意思，也能當作「deduce」的名詞使用。

deductive 推論的(adj.)

deductible 可扣除的(adj.)

Part of the auto-loan interest is deductible as a business expense.

seduction 誘惑(n.)

和「seduce」意思一樣，作為名詞用。

seductive 誘惑的(adj.)

seductively 誘惑地(adv.)

seductress 女性誘惑者(n.)

reduction 減少(n.)

和「reduce」意思一樣，作為「減少」的名詞。

「減少的」就是內容精簡的意思。

induct into 使就任、使入會(v.)

和「induce」意思相近，「induce(勸誘)」的目的就是要人入會。

abduct 綁架(v.)

非意願的帶走，只有帶走肉體帶不走心靈，因此是誘拐、綁架；

introductory 首次的、開導的(adj.)
