英文單字(18)《clude 關起來》

用三個字的「關起來」而不用一個字的「關」，是為了和開關電源的動作做區別，比較偏向於將物體關在一個空間。將「clude」換成「clusive」即變成形容詞詞性。

exclude from 排斥、不包括(v.)

排斥就是把對方關在外面；「exclude(不包括)」就是「include(包括)」的相反字。

Women are excluded from this club.
Tom has been excluded from school for his behavior.
We can't exclude the possibility that he is dead.

exclusive 獨有的(adj.)、獨家報導(n.)

獨有的、獨家報導就是將其他人排斥在外。

preclude from 預防、防止(v.)

防止可以想像成先把門關好就可以預防危險。

His contract preclude him from discussing his work with anyone outside the company.

include 包含(v.)

包含就是指關在範圍裡面的。

inclusive of 包含的、包容性的(adj.)

occlude 使阻塞(v.)

阻塞就是對著迎面而來的事物關起來讓其無法通過。
